Triumph TR3 - Horn Assembly
| Once again, I am asking for your help. How do you remove the horn assy from a 1960 TR3A? I have friends in the NCTA club here that tell me you just pry it out. I went so far, but thought with my luck I would break it. What I need to do is see how the turn signal auto shutoff works and try to fix it. Also, sometimes the assy will turn with the steering wheel and not come back to the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| Don't just pry on it!! There are 3 grub screws around the center part of the wheel. They must be loosened. There is a stator tube that goes through the steering shaft and has a gland nut tensioning it to the steering box. The official name for the unit is control head, it has the turn signals in it too, of course. It's a pain to work on, but reproductions are available. |
