Triumph TR3 - heater motor

Took my heater to bits today and the inside of the fan motor was just a black mess. So I ned a new one. Any ideas as th where I can get one? Moss lists the motor for the TR4 will this fit?

Is it a burned black mess, or just oily/dirty? You may be able to clean it all up and have a good motor. I don't know if the TR4 motor will fit, but I'd guess not. A motor shop would be able to give you an experienced opinion, maybe rewind if necessary. And there are heaters on ebay occasionally. Or sellers that are parting out TR3's that don't know which parts to list first, so you can ask them to list a heater. Might as well get the whole thing if you can.

Thanks Tom. It's not just oily, all of the varnish on the windings is burnt and the comutator is almost burnt away. I'll try speaking to a motor shop and see if they can cobble something togther for me.
