Triumph TR3 - Hardtop Headliner?

I am looking for information on replacing the headliner in a factory hardtop for a 1961 TR3A.
I recently aquired a top, however the headliner is missing. I want to duplicate the original as close as possible.

Can anyone help with info on material; how the material was assembled (one-piece, sewn together panels, patterns, etc); how the liner was secured in place; color?

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a factory hardtop a few years back to restore. There were bits of headliner inside.

It looked like 1/8th inch foam glued to the inside of the top covered with a thin light gray cotton or nylon fabric glued to the foam.

Go to an automotive upholstry shop and ask to see light gray fabric headiner material made in the style that was common in the fifties headiners. You will probably get a fairly good match.

I do not know if light gray was the only colour. My hard to is white from the factory and will remain white when it is refinished.

My 1961 TR3A came from the factory signal red with a white soft top and side curtains. A white hard top was a factory availiable option for 1961 red TR3s.
