Triumph TR3 - Glove Box rear support

Could any one give me some indication of how the G/B rear support braket was mounted on the RHD TR3A - so far I have been unable able to work out if the bracket is mounted to the bulkhead or dash board stantions, grateful for any info

Steve,

I do not have a RHD car, but I can't see why the G/B rear support would be different. On LHD cars, the support is a small right angle bracket with a threaded stud attached to one face. The threaded stud goes through the dashboard stantion and the side of the L bracket with just a hole lines up with the hole in the lower left corner of the glove box. A sheet metal screw goes through the back of the glove box and threads into a speed nut attached to the L bracket. It seems that the bracket there is really to stop any rattle and rubbing between the dashboard stantion and the G/B rather than any support for weight in the G/B.
