Triumph TR3 - Door hinges
| One of the 3s had brass hinges, one had steel. Brass seemed cool but they were worn out and more expensive than the steel ones on the other 3. So, I ordered new steel hinges to fit those that came off of the body I'm using. The bodyman wanted me to come down and look; sure enough, those hinges pushed the door back way too far. I ordered brass ones, and he gets the door beautifully aligned. What am I missing here? This was a steel hinge body, not that that should matter. I'd like to know before a customer has the same issues with parts. |

| Maybe the doors are different, and you have the doors that match the brass hinges? Jim |

| On the early TR2 to TR3As the doors are square down at the bottom corners and the hinges are made of brass. On the later TR3As and TR3Bs, the doors have rounded bottom corners and the hinges are steel. It sounds like someone mixed doors and hinges at some point in it's earlier life. | Hmm. Now I have to go to the bodyshop and check the corners! The body came with the steel hinges. Some of the doors available came with the body, some did not. Thanks for the lesson! |
