Triumph TR3 - Dipping body/frame
Having Tr3A body and frame chemically dipped this week. Process will take a week, wonder how much body I'll have left. Who is best at providin body panels?

| Use the panels you have now. If they have holes or need new flanges and captive boxes welded onto them, do it yourself with a MIG welder or have it done. Or buy good original panels. They will fit better than "new" panels. So called "new" panels are not made on the original presses so they don't fit. They are hand made, one at a time and some have said they spend more time making the "new" panels fit correctly than they would have spent reworking the original rusty panels. | Picked up the Tr3 today from the stripper. Quite pleased with the results. Much less rust than I anticipated. There is however a number of dented areas that were filled with bondo. Like to know the history of this car. It had four coats of paint on it in white, red and green... |

Gary, I am preparing an MGB for dipping. Can you tell me how much it cost to your TR3 body? Pete
Pete
Pete, My cost to have body/frame dipped and phosphated was $600. In 1985 it cost me $1000 for an MGTD. Aberration?
