Triumph TR3 - Aeroscreen mounting

Can someone with an early 3A, 3 or 2 describe how the optional aeroscreens were attached to the scuttle (dash top). I have been told that the original aeroscreens (not those Brooklands knockoffs)attached to the scuttle with bolts, and that the bolts had a dome head that was chromed. I assume that there was a captive nut undereath the scuttle? In addition I have been told that it was not uncommon to drive with the aeroscreens and windscreen in place. Can someone provide a hole pattern or description and email to me at angelfj@comcast.net
