Triumph TR3 - advice tr3 rear seal leak

This is my first post so bear with me. I am looking at a '59 tr3 with an oil leak from the rear main seal area. Are there any tips, tricks, or hidden procedures involved in this repair operation? any advice/help will be greatly appreciated!
