Triumph Spitfire - Wiring the rev counter

Can anyone tell me what the lugs on the back of the spitfire rev counter are? One is a spade, one is a pin and (presumably) there's one for earthing it (mine's broken off). Of the two remaining, one should go to +12v and the other to the +ve side of the coil. But which one is which?

John,

The back of the instrument is, I believe, marked.

You can catch a ground (earth) on the frame of the instrument (the mounting stud).

Of the two leads one goes to 12V positive and the other goes to the NEGATIVE side of the coil and NOT the positive.

I am thinking about selling my 65 Spitfire and I have no idea how much to ask for it. It is in a good condition and runs great. Do you know where I can get information and where/what is the best way to advertise?
Thanks - Capan

I've been interested in supercharging my 77 Spit.....Shorrock made these units for the Heralds in the early sixties but I've never seen this done to a Spit.

If anyone knows how I could track this idea down .....seen it done or whatever I would sure appreciate the heads up.....

Thank you
