Triumph Spitfire - Tire size

Hi,

A friend bought a 1980 Spit equipped with 165/80-13 tires. I know that it is supposed to be equipped with 155-R13. I believe these tires are not really suitable as sometimes they seems to rub the firewhall(inner-fender). What size of tire is suitable in modern tire in ratio 70.

Jean,

You are looking for a 175/70-13. I have also seen people run 185/65-13 and 185/60-13, but they have all run into clearance problems and are not as good a rolling diameter match as the 175/70.
