Triumph Spitfire - front wheel bearing

I'm new to spitfires. Can you tell me how to remove the dust cover (grease cap) so I can inspect the wheel bearings? Does it press on like most cars or is it threaded. I'd like to know before I get the hammer out. Thanks.
