Triumph Spitfire - Bullet Mirrors

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows an easy way to change the standard wing mirrors on a Spitfire 1500? I have bought a pair of bullet mirrors but I'm finding them a nightmare to put on (there doesn't seem to be any space to get you hand in with a spannner).

If anyone has done this before and could offer me some advice I would be most grateful.

last time i did that to a spitfire i drilled a small hole in the door so that i could use a 1/4 drive socket.
