Triumph Spitfire - bore and piston rings

i have just bought my first spitfire. its a 1970 and it has some blue smoke blowing. does this mean i should bore the cylinders and replace the piston rings? and what should i look out for?

Hi,

It could be a valve stem level that oil leaks. Is it continuous or only when shifting. This latter is related to valve. If rings you could have an oil control ring.
