Triumph GT6 - hot start nightmare
| I have just bought a mk 2 gt6 to compliment my tr6 . It starts and goes fine when cold but after a run on a fast road - 30 miles or so it starts coughing and spluttering when under load , tries to stall at junctions and if I stop the car and come back a few minutes later it refuses to start for best part of an hour . It tries to fire up but dies when i release the key . Is the fuel vapourising when hot ? is this a common problem ? Any clues gratefully read cheers scotty |

| Scotty, Fuel vapourisation is usually a problem after stopping when hot - it won't re-start. Your problem sounds electrical to me. A careful review of the low voltage side of the ignition when the car is hot may help, or just a complete new set of spark plug leads/dizzie cap. Good luck John |
