MG TD TF 1500 - XPEG long block on eBay
Yes, it's mine. I don't mean to be crass in my 1st posting, but I do think many will find it interesting to see what it brings. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180685977695&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

What's the reserve? That will account for a lot of what it will bring.

So many potential problems with this....I can't even begin... I would wait until the engine was properly surveyed, by a knowlegable machine shop.... Can't imagine rolling the dice on this one. Edward

I may drop the reserve soon. My thoughts were to leave it complete and as originally assembled as possible so the buyer can handle it as he/she thinks best. I didn't try to clean off carbon buildup on valves, etc. so buyers can get a sense of condition. Buyer may have their own way to handle crank / flywheel balancing. The more I put into it, the more I'll want to get, and true skeptics probably won't want to believe my shop anyway. I may drop reserve, but I think it's realistic - and secret. Maybe someone will suggest an independent, respected shop for me to send it to if it doesn't make reserve.

NL Not questioning your integrity, but an engine in pieces, is a mechanical gamble.... Without mechanical documentation , it is really risky for the buyer.... You may have to bite the bullet , and pay for a survey...at least to the integrity of all the critical bits....If it's worth more that way, so be it. Edward

The valuable thing here is the XPEG block and head. The peripherals would be nice, but not where the value is. Is there a close up picture of the front head part # number anywhere? George
