MG TD TF 1500 - XPAG 1500 ???
Hello all, I am planing to rebuilt my engine (XPAG/TD2/19833) and have searched the archives without finding answers. My idea is to use XPEG liners and pistons. The spare parts cataloge stats different part numbers for the conrods, although both engines haf the same stroke and the same crankshaft. Has there been any experience what works and what should be modified? Thanks, Ralph TD 19435

Not sure what they used, but two friends have opened xpags to 1500, the sleeves (any machine shop can get them) are right in the water jackets......

Our TF 1500 lost it's XPEG very early in it's life and now has an XPAG TD engine. When it was restored in the early 80s it was bored out to 1500 cc. It is effectively an XPAG 1500. -David

We have an XPAG punch out to TF STD bore, no liners.
