MG TD TF 1500 - What kind of fastener goes here.

This is a short anlgle that attaches to the firewall and supports the front floorboards. there are two holes for something and I can see, in the wood there was something there before. There is no countersink so I assume RHMS. Anyone know for sure.

2 wood screws go there. Seems kind of worthless, but that's what I had!

Two wood screws in each side on mine too.
