MG TD TF 1500 - Ventor Super Charger

Has any one heard of a Ventor Super Charger? There is a TC advertised that has one as a spare,,,,

The blower is a Ventor Supercharger type 2R010 designed and manufactured by Wade Engineering

Yikes! How would you sit on this bike? My nuts hurt just looking at the photo.

Wins the classic gearhead porn award for all time! Makes me think of Gina Lollobrigida and a lot of vino. Tom, it would be usual to refit the seat, but probably not making a whole lot of difference to comfort. The seat was pivoted at the rear of the tank, with the back end sprung off the rear wheel; this one puts you all over the rear wheel, so effectively no suspension for you.

Steve - where is the TC advertized?

Thanks. Tom

Hello Steve, I'm running a Wade supercharger(see the attached images). Drove the car a couple weeks ago up to MG 2011. I've had it for years and am looking for more manifolds for another compressor to go on my Y. The carb to compressor manifold is different for a TC and a TD. If you have other questions ask I might know. There is a write up in Blowers manual. I had to make the pulleys, outrigger, stays and outrigger shaft. In Blowers there is one drawing with a dimension I put the book in an opaque projector and brought the picture to the drawing dimension then measured everything else to make a drawing.

Butch,

Really great to meet you in Reno. You are indeed very knowledgable on the T-Series.

I hope the following information is correct as it is information that escaped me many years ago.

The original Wade was designed before WWII in the UK. Somehow between 1939 and 1945, it found its way to Australia where it was being manufactured for at least 10 years. So if you Google 'Wade Supercharger', you'll see that there is a preponderance of Wade blowers in OZ and NZ.

They were the classic Roots type with scrolled-lobe rotors, not unlike the Marshall.

Seems like there are still quite a few for sale in OZ.

Hi Gordon. It was fun talking to you at MG 2011, hope you enjoyed the ride back from breakfast. I'll check out the OZ connection. Maybe I can find a manifold, I need the one from blower to head.
