MG TD TF 1500 - Twist's latest video

If you have a chance watch John Twist's latest "Xpag pushrod" video on his Youtube channel! Especially the last 2 minutes! It's halarious! I think he's been breathing too many MG fumes...

It is so nice to see John loving life again ...he went through some hard times. It warms the heart to see him back to himself again.

I'm happy sputnik didn't get him!

Thanks for the link. Classic! So glad John is doing so well. His taxation comments pretty well sum up why business is so lousy and out of control our government is. George

Great video. I think this also shows how resilient our little cars are.

Haven't watched one of his vids in a long time. It's good to see him doing what he loves to do! Cary forth John!

PS: I should send him my cam shaft. It's not as bad as the one he showed on there, but the two exhaust lobes #1, and #4, are just about there!

A ways back, someone on this BB suggested the same fix and I was able to change out my old bad inner cable with new bicycle break cable. The one thing that Mr. Twist didn't mention in this video (that someone on the BB did) is to tin the end of the cable to keep it from unwrapping.

Something that can also be added is the cleaning out of the outside casing. I took an idea from my shooting days and made my own bore snake with a hobby pipe cleaner. Just pull about an inch or so of fuss from one end of the pipe cleaner and solder a length of break cable to it. Then you can feed the break cable through the outside casing and pull the pipe cleaner through it. (Just make sure not to break off the pipe cleaner inside the casing.)

A picture is worth a thousand words.

As always thank you for all the help over the years (and for the years to come)

Damn! I always thought we Aussies had cornered the market in stupid local bylaws and over taxing. A great video.

Patrick, I too used his advice to rebuild my 2 cables. Works fine so far. But also check out the "Xpag pushrod" video, his latest.
