MG TD TF 1500 - Three belt pully on early TD engine
| Hi All I was over at a friends shop looking over a TD engine he recently purchased. Engine is number 2990. Tag matches the stamped number on the block. Engine is set up with standard TD carbs and air cleaner and they appear to be original. Here is a picture of the front pully. It is obviously not an original pulley. Anyone have any thoughts on what it may have been used for? The pulley uses what appears to be the stock bolt that the crank fits into.

| This looks like the setup for a belt-driven supercharger. Mark Sherman |

| Exactly. Did the blower come with it? |

| That's the pulley on my car, and the Judson came with it I never had the "guts" to put it back on. It remains all packed with it's carb and oiler and still free wheels" |

| Bruce, My TD has a Judson Supercharger. I happen to have it off while my exhaust manifold is being ceramic coated so I took this picture of the pulley with the belts off. My Judson uses two pulleys. I guess the second is a backup. Other superchargers I have seen only have one pulley. Mort

| Pretty sure it is a pulley for a Judson, looks just like the one I had on my car when I ran the Judson. |

| That is great folks. Engine did not have the SC with it. So, if anyone is installing one and needs a pulley, I know where they can get one. |
