MG TD TF 1500 - TF Oil Pressure Gauge
| I am wondering if anyone has an image of the connector on the copper pipe that connects to the rear of this instrument. I am aware a leather washer is used to seal the connection and the male connector on the gauge has a spigot to retain the washer. The copper pipe I have appears to have a connection soldered to the pipe that is incompatible with the gauge connector. Maybe I am incompetent in attempting to mate the 2 components together, however they dont appear correct. Appreciate any assistance. |

| Here is a rear-dash shot I took a while back, unfortunately the connector is not very clear. Matthew.

Mine is exactly like Matthews. Sounds like yours has been modified over the years to except another type of oil pressure line. I've restored American antique cars in the past and changes like over the years are very common with them. PJ |

| I plead ignorance of TF specifics, but I have TDs at my beck and call. The copper pipe that connects to the back of the oil pressure gauge has a different fitting on each end, i.e., where it connects to the coupling that is attached to the firewall. Any chance that you're checking the wrong end of the pipe? Bud |

| This is a photos of my TF's connection of the copper pipe to the oil pressure gauge, prior to installing in the dash. Is this what you're looking for? John

| Thanks fellas for your assistance. Bud you were spot on with your diagnosis I had made "a blue" and reversed the connections. Thanks again, might get to crank the old gal over in coming weeks. |
