MG TD TF 1500 - TF Hood Prop
Does anyone know if some enterprising soul has come up with a way of safely and securely prop open the hood on an MG TF? I can't believe it was meant to be laid over to the opposite side no matter how carefully that might be accomplished. What did the factory recommend? THANKS!!!

I got the cable that attaches to the tool box from Abingdon Spares. Very happy with them.

I have the cables from A/S also but found they really only work if you just have "one side" open at a time. Also found attaching them to tool box they were kind of "in the way" sometimes. Tried all kinds of sticks and dowel rods before I came up with the little "spring mounted" ones shown on ttalk site above. Being mounted at the front of the bonnet keeps them out of the way for most maintance. (some of the others I tried were kind of a pain when setting valves!) These have been on for about 10 years now...haven't "lost" one yet and work fine for me. When not in use they fold under the side panels and you really don't even see them in there. Cheers, David
