MG TD TF 1500 - TF Clock

I've seen references to Hal Kramer's article on repairing TF Clocks. Is the article still available on the web or elsewhere?
Thanks

I've tried those links but they are no longer valid.
Even tried e-mail to Hal Kramer at two different addresses without success.

Bob Jeffers, what club do you belong to? I live in MA but close the NH border near Nashua. I'm looking to join / meet fellow MG people.

Mike Eck of http://www.jaguarclock.com/ updates Smiths clocks with an electronic mechanism. I believe he would do MG Smiths/Jaeger clocks as well. He did one for my Jaguar 3.8S sedan and it has been working fine since. I believe he is located in New Jersey.

When the balance wheel swings back & forth it contacts a small carbon brush which wears with time. This can be pushed through it's holder with care and a magnifying glass to se what you are doing & often this work will keep the clock going.

Mike R,

I went into the Archives today under 'Clocks', about halfway down the list that came up, there is a heading 'TD Clock screws needed' the one immediately underneath is called 'TD Clocks' - that is the one you need to open up. It was started by RAF Robert Finucane, and a lot of info. is given by a number of our 'members', including some queries from me!

Also further down the list there is a heading 'TF instrument repair' - open it up and there is another link, still active as of today, from David Wardell of Milton Keynes in the UK, relating to '.........rhodes/speedo.p.d.f. - useful cleaning/repair info.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

John
