MG TD TF 1500 - Tecalamite color
Hi I bought a Tecalamite oil filter cannister for my TF that has a nice, intact name-brand label. I would like to paint it in the original color. I have read of it described as a "pinkish tan". Can anyone post a photo of one of these in the original color? Thank you. Tom '54 TF

Check the archives, I think it's been done. Bud

I did Bud. Could not come up with anything. Thank you Matthew. I think Pottery Barn would call this "clay". I'll try to find something similar for my "non show" car. Tom '54 TF

Sunofagun, I thought there was a side-by-side image in the archives. Many folks seem to accept the color of the instrument panel as matching the Tecalamite color. Bud

Tom, try the archives for Tecalemit (no 'e'). Bud

The canister on TF6688 is the blue/green colour. This is the original paint.

Colin, is your cannister Purolator or Tecalemit? Looks like Purolator with the dished washer under the bolt head. If it is Tecalemit, then your is a very different color than Matthew's, also in its original paint. Tom '54 TF

| The Purolators were metallic pale green. Here is one with the sticker still attached. (BBS member Rob Grantham has had good reproductions of the stickers made). Matthew.
