MG TD TF 1500 - T-Database
Hi chaps, I thought you might like to know about the latest addition to the ttypes.org website: the T-Database (http://ttypes.org/database) Part gallery, part T-Type "wiki", the T-Database is an opportunity for MG T-Type owners to showcase their cars on the site. Through the T-Database you may upload multiple photos of your T-Series car, and add limited non-personal information about your vehicle. Alternatively, you may simply wish to browse the records of the cars that have already been added to the T-Database. You can add your car to the database now by surfing to http://ttypes.org/database and searching for your car by chassis number. Then click "Edit this Car's Details" and either log in with your ttypes.org account or register as a new member (membership is totally free, and gives also gives you access to other areas of the site such as the technical publications archive, which offers around 20 period MG Car Co/Lucas technical documents for free download). Best Regards, Steve James Webmaster, ttypes.org

Steve, somehow the wrong photo of my car got into the system. How do I delete that car and repost my car inthere. I hit the wrong photo when editing the thing. Thanks Tom

Steve, I like your initiative but yet I wonder what's the use of again an extra register... Nevertheless one of these days I'll sign up my '50 TD. Jasper

| Thank you all for your kind comments, and for adding your cars to the database. Tom, I've removed the photo next to TD8105, so you're free to put another up at your convenience. Jasper, it's true that with the addition of the T-Database there are probably four or five different online lists of T-Types out there (one of which I put together about six years ago now). But the T-Database is something I felt would be a useful resource for TTT2 readers and for the ttypes.org site - people love browsing others' cars - and I could see no downside in doing so except for the two weeks of my own time it took to put it together. If the T-Database's reach helps unearth a previously unknown T-Type, brings new members into the T-Community or puts a previous owner with car history in touch with a new one, then I feel it's time well spent. cheerio! | Steve, many thanks. Love the way it works, putting it on our club site as a link so that other members can put their cars on the list. |

Steve, I copied your message to the bulletin boards of both www.mgcarclub.nl (all types) and www.mgtto.nl (T types only). Hope this helps as far as we Dutchees are concerned! Jasper

Thank you, Jasper, for helping spread the word - it's much appreciated - and to everyone else who has supported the site by adding their details. Tom, thanks - I have removed your upside-down car! :)
