MG TD TF 1500 - Switch to starter cable location

Finalising wiring position prior to starting motor for the first time in over 10 years. Motor turns easily and oil pump is primed.

I was able to purchase a length of 5/16" copper pipe for teh fuel line.

Can someone confirm if the cable from the starter to the starter switch goes inside the pillar or over the pillar?

Is this cable and the fuel pipe held in place by any clamps?

Stuart,
Don't know if this will help. The picture shows the wire from the starter motor running back along the starter and then straight up to the starter switch.
(Ignore the position of the carb. I have a supercharger where the regular carbs go and one larger carb out the back of the supercharger.)
There are no clamps on the cable. It is stiff enough to hold position by itself. This is how it was when I bought the car. Don't know if it is the way it was done originally.

I think Stuart is talking about the starter pull cable from the dash to the starter switch. Bud

Thank you, exactly what I wanted to know.

I could find nothing in the Archives, nor any information in Dave's photo gallery

Bud, I am a bit off installing the starter pull cable - probably early next year.
