MG TD TF 1500 - Supercharger gauge

I need some direction from anyone knowledgeable or experienced with superchargers. I noticed that when I drove at an undemanding RPM the gauge hovered in the 5-10 inches of mercury range and when I made demands on the engine by accelerating the gauge would swing over to the 3-5 psi range. I just went for a drive and noticed that the gauge always was in the psi range. At high demand on acceleration it would peg the meter above the 15 psi limit.
Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
TIA,

Your gauge is off. Does it set at zero when off?

If you can remove the face, you can probably zero it.
