MG TD TF 1500 - Speedy Sleeve
Gentlemen: Does anyone have a photo of a "speedy sleeve" and do they have an ID measurement of the same? Regards Rod Murray

You can go directly to their web site...Just Google "Speedi-Sleeve".... Really detailed explanation... I have used them on two "B's", and , if you use the correct seal, they work. Edward

rod, perhaps i missed something in your post. if so, my apologies. but, if not, they make speedi sleeves in, essentially, all diameters. regards, tom

Hi Tom: I was looking at the Moss Catalog and they have the Kit and the Speedi Sleeve itemized for the rear sealconversion. I have the kit but not the speedi sleeve and wondered what they looked like and the measurement on its id to identify the degree of interferance fit etc. From reading the archives I see that there is a mixed bag of success with or without the Sleeve. Since I am planning on assemblying/rebuilding my motor this winter, in AZ, I want to check this out a little more! Regards Rod

Hi Rod Go here: http://www.barnwell.co.uk/shaftrepairkits.html Then click on Brochure. This gives a detailed account of the fitting procedure with illustrations and a complete list of sizes. Regards Mike

| Here's a shot of the sleeve installed on my "B" 18V roadster. Look closely, and you can see the "lip" on the inside of the crank flange opening, and the fine edge of the sleeve on the outside:
