MG TD TF 1500 - solved 2 more oil leaks today
| my oil pressure relief valve cap had been leaking, so new gasket and a little gasket sealer and that one is cured. Speedo cable leak....got that one fixed as well. Picked up some of that self fusing silicone tape at Ace. Started at the tranny and wrapped it tight for about 18" up tghe cable. Used a small tywrap at each end to secure it. Neat tape as it really fuses to itself, like self vulcanizing. At any rate, no more leak from the speedo cable. Had her out for a 50 mile run today and the only drip is where it's supposed ot drip, rear main. Just thought I'd share about that special tape, |
