MG TD TF 1500 - Smiling Bob Report
| I'm pleased to pass along that Bob has made a remarkable recovery from his racing accident due to the excellent care and hospitality he has received from the fine folks in Georgia. When asked about the details of his accident, Bob said " I don't really know what happened...She ran just fine and before the last heat I asked the Wood Brothers to give her a little final tweak. She came out of the hole strong but I couldn't keep her straight." Bob also says he'll be talking to track officials about installing some new ammco before next years races. A spokes person from the Wood Brothers said " I think Junior thought we said to use the Billie Joe Bob set up instead of the Bob II set up". No further comment was made except that since he wasn't in the Run for the Cup, it shouldn't be any big deal. Bob's sponser and host Don Harmer has indicated Bob has been pretty quite of late but he's starting to run out of Mint Julips and if he doesn't move on soon he may inquire about employement for Bob at Augusta mowing greens or hunting golphers. Bob has a few future engagements including South Africa and Austrailia in 2012 and some interest in Minesota but is in need of some more winter racing. So come on boys and girls, lets get the Bobster back on the road and to a town near you for a demonstration of what real racing is all about... pure giggles and laughs. Ask yer club, ask yer friends...Bob aint afraid to race anybody. He really isn't... they removed that part of his brain function during the surgery so he hasn't a clue what he's up against.
