MG TD TF 1500 - RIP Jimmy Leeward / Galloping Ghost

Sad ...we have lost two legends.
Jimmy & the Ghost. (P-51 Mustang)
Reno air show crash.
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Leeward a few years ago. My prayers go out to his family.

Always sorry to hear that one of the remaining warbirds is gone. I didn't know much about Jimmy but my prayers go out to his family. Anybody that loved a P-51 has to be good in my book.

I was involved from a distance with a P-51 during WWII.
Also a lot of other old warbirds. Corsair was another.

Going to have to look through my pictures, but I think I have one of the TF in front of the Ghost.
Beautiful airplane.
Worked on the TV crew for an air show a few years back here at Rickenbacker for a couple days. Drove the TF in one day and got to met a bunch of the piolts. An awsome sight ...the most P51's in the air at the same time since WWII. Drove the producer around the airfield after someone took his golf cart so got some great shot's in front of these birds.
