MG TD TF 1500 - Removing parking-brake cables from car?

I will begin dismantling the body on "Rocky", (TD), in a few days, and wondered what the best way to get the emergency (parking)brake cables, out of the way of the tub removal...

Ed, remove the adjusting nuts near the brake lever. Pay attention ( take a photo?)of the spring and washer arrangement for future reference. Loosen or remove the brass, cable housing retaing plate. Withdraw the cables from the bulkhead from beneath the car. Might want to wire them to the axle so you don't run over them while rolling the car around.
