MG TD TF 1500 - Pictures of Automatic Transmission conversion

Here are the photo's of the MGB/Automatic conversion in a TD. I need to do some editing as there are some thumbnails that got thrown in there. The pictures towards the end are as the car was found and picked up.

Comments, criticisms or questions are welcome.

Cheers,
Vince

All I got was picture deleted.

Me too!

For some reason its not working for me. Looks like I should stick to conversions and leave this complicated Photobucket stuff for my kids :-)

vping

Vince, just add it as an upload to your note. Windows has a way to reduce the pixels so that can be done. just resize the photo.
TOM Maine

There are 169 pictures. Trying to post the Photobucket link directly to that album.

If you copy the entire URL and paste it into your browser, it will get you there.
You will then, manually need to edit the picture number i.e.(037, 036,035,.....)

However I dont see any of the conversion.

Vince, do you have any little ones around? Grandchildren? They know more than we do about these computers! (Grin).

Finally got it.
TOM Maine

Yeah three kids that could run circles around me with comps.

I was doing everything right but not until I created a custom link did it work.

Enjoy,
Vince

Vince Although I'm not in entire agreement with what you accomplished, you did a magnifigant job. I hope the lady that asked you to do that job appreciates what you have done. And will keep the original parts, removed from the car, safely for the next owner.
Sincerely,
Bob

What's it like to drive?

Alex
Alex Waugh

Since I have never driven a TD before, its tough to fully know. Body moves a bit and there is some roll with the suspension. Car holds its own fine at 60. Shifting is smooth and the engine runs great. I'd say it is a really nice car to drive but then again, my opinion is somewhat biased.

Including myself, there have been 4 people to drive the car and we all had smiles on our faces afterwards.
vping

Smiles on the face are a common reaction to driving a "T" series the first time. That's why we are here. Enjoy that first drive It will hook you for the rest of your life.
