| Look out world!! Which engine, Gordon? Bud |

| You must have been a good boy last year Gordon. Santa was very good to you. Way cool. I expect videos of a "quick" drive. Now about those wipers? |

| Gordon, Yikes and, Merry Christmas and, congrats! How about a quick history and description?! Thanks, Jerry |

| Looks to me like a Westfield. Here's one I built a few years ago. Mine had a 1700cc Ford X-flow with twin 2 choke Webers and race cam. 150BHP and light as a feather. You begin to realise how big truck tires are when you drive down the freeway in one of these. Be careful in the wet Enjoy. AJ

| Gord - Mazeltov! That'll be one fearsome little beast. I indulged as well - are you in as much trouble as I am? Okay, what about the rest of you? Surely Gord and I aren't the only ones to do something really dumb. Merry Christmas, Dave

| Congrats, Gordon. Holler if you need more of a rush. Friend of mine does blowers on rotary engines. Kinda a 180 from the Wols,eh? Dan |

| ....it was a weak moment...never go cruising on Kijiji.ca .... anyway... not a Westfield... a Locost as far as I can tell (?) with a Mazda RX7 Rotary, Mustang suspension....1500 pounds, 150 ish hp.... needs some work (so I can fit a bit better) and the usual....tires, tuning, upholstery, etc.... Will be interesting i'm thinking.......

| Looks good Gordon- I've been building one in my garage for the last year. Hope to have it driving this summer. While most try to replicate a Lotus 7 there are some who build what is called a 442E, which is 4" wider, 4" longer and 2" higher. Makes the fit much easier. I was hoping to use some of my old MG parts on it but so far the only carry-over has been an MGB windshield wiper motor and cable drive. Good luck. One of the best sites around is the Locost USA http://www.locostusa.com/forums/ Cheers, Roy

| I'd never heard of a Locost before. I thought you were joshing about a Lotus Seven. Bud |

| Just a quick update...it is finally ready to sit beside the TD...quite a difference in, well, just about everything...(except the vintage feel and my ability to get in the TD and drive 900 miles with complete confidence)... Am starting re wiring this week as it seems the three previous owners all wired it independently.....(and left all the bits and pieces and open taped ends, and, and....) I took it for one quick run down the road...wow...bit quick! Anyway...its home

| Gord: Can you license it in Ontario without a windshield and wiper? Alberta Transportation was very clear that, though it was legal for me to run with the TD's windshield flat and the Brooklands screens on, the windshield and wipers had to be in place. Cheers, Dave |
| Dave Jorgensen |
| Yes, it has been licensed that way since '91 ... with a few years in Nova Scotia..... I have found a company doing windshields and will order one...then adapt a TD wiper motor to it..... As a '91 it needs emissions test, but it is done as a homebuilt with a 1980 engine.... they have different settings for these? |

| Gordon, Here in the states, the regulations vary by state if they have a periodic state vehicle inspection, some states have none. Most states that have inspections, base their regulations on registered vehicle year. Example, a 2000 vehicle with a 1998 engine would probably not pass the smog test, thus no tags! Fortunately here in Oklahoma, if it moves under it's own power, they'll give you tags for it. Grin. |
