MG TD TF 1500 - Not T Series but worth a look

Hi everyone
First may I wish you all the seasons greetings.
For those of you considering an engine rebuild the following link is well worth viewing. Runs for about 9 minutes.

Amazing feat! Always wondered how you say "exhaust manifold" en espanol.

But what's missing? The spark plugs??
efh Haskell

WOW That is more than impressive.
A W Parker

Very impressive. I also was unsure how it actually ran. Did not see a fuel supply in the scenes where it was running. I see the plastic tube, could be we just don't see it.
Bruce Cunha

...the tube seems to go down and through the wooden base....not sure about plugs?

Not only the making but the design also. Fantastic project.

I expect it is running on compressed air.

Complements of the Season to everyone,

Fascinating. No spark plugs. No gaskets. Bud
Bud Krueger

Dave I think you are correct. The hose actually goes under the table.
Bruce Cunha

i just read another article on this "engine". it does indeed run on "compressed air injection .1kg/sq.cm."
amazing little gizmo.

Very cool!

Tom That propeller is definitely a work of art. Can somebody explain why the pictures of the engine running show the propeller curved. I know it has to do with the relative motion of the propeller and the shutter in the camera. But somehow the mental picture I have does not include curving the propeller.

Bob, it's a Moire effect caused by the interaction of the image capture frequency (shutter speed, frames per second) and the pattern of the propeller laminates. Bud
