MG TD TF 1500 - Nice TF

Many of you TD guys like to point out tatty and poorly restored TD's offered for sale on line.
I want to point out a TF on ebay that is, in my opinion, a very lovely restoration. Item number
130590125626
I emailed the seller to compliment him. Appears to be an owner restoration. Repainted in the proper color as a HDC TF, with xpeg engine. His "sell it now" price seems quite high, but I will be very interested to see what the actual selling price is.
What do you TF guys think of this one?

What a beautiful restoration! It's also the color I want to paint mine. My paint code is for red and that's in the red family. Not that mine will be for sale, as it won't, but I am also curious as to what it sells for. PJ

Very nice, with minor details wrong. I see it as a solid $30,000 car, that probebly won't sell.

I'm not a TF guy, but that car is pristine. Easily a #2 excellent condition car.

According to the Hemmings guide it prices at around $ 31,350. For it to sell at the buy it now price needs a reach of almost another $ 18,000. Not sure it can get there.

Yes, a nice car . . . it could be mine except for the interior colour.

A lot nicer than mine...beautiful car!

Is that what's called Autumn Red?
JE Carroll

Even though it's not a TD it is still a very nice car!

It is a sharp car. I just wish the dashboard was the right color.

Just wondering (as a point of "correctness").
Should the oil pan and tranny be painted red on our cars? Or is silver "correct"?
David Sheward

The factory painted everything but the valve cover, starter and generator. A lot of people leave the bell housing, oil pan and timing chain cover bare. They look good when the cast partsl are left bare.

Thanks,
My bell housing & oil pan are bare ...timming cover is painted. More point off for me ...but I like the look.
