I didn't notice that it was a TDC until after it sold. In one of the shots you can see the extra shock on the left front. The seller didn't post a picture of the carburetors and duel pumps, must have not known what it was.

That looks like it may be a great car. I could be convinced it all they say it is, that could even be original paint. Somebody got a nice car. I hope it is not restored, but enjoyed as is. -David

Wow ...that one was really close to where I live. Does it look like the welting between body and wings is black? Still a nice car for the money. Wonder where the new owner lives? Hope it stays local ..one I would like to see.

Some strange details here which makes me think it is an older restoration that has been left out in the sun. Tank end plates missing or painted over?? Black piping in the interiour. Scripted sill plates. Original paint tends to go chalky rather than flaky in my experience. Some untouched details to like maybe the carpet and dash? Matthew.

I've been following this Mark II which was originally sold last week and then re-sold by the new owner this week for a thousand more... I agree with Mathew - it pretty clearly has been painted in it's time, and the tank end plates were simply painted all over. The threshhold plates are clearly wrong, and the top, carpets and spare tire cover are not original. There was once a full tonneau cover, the tach is broken, and the choke cable is a replacement. I don't see black piping in the interior, which I do think is original. But excellent bones - we'll see what happens to it. Tom

There are lines of black piping around the dash panel and around the door and side panels. Possibly they re-used the original panels? Or its a good replacement set now 20-30 years old? Matthew.

Something is certainly non standard with the top's front bow...don't think I can turn my wiper motor upside down without it pushing the canvas out....?

Mathew - black piping is a good sign the car has indeed been repainted. Tom

Tom L, Is that the car from the "Flippers - not breakers" post? Just so you don't lose faith ...there are still those out there that see it "our way". My TF is a good example of that. The gentleman that sold it to me actuallly had another buyer waiting in his office with several thousand more $ wanting the car. This was a dealer (and a heck of a nice guy). He had bought the car out from under the broker that sold it to me on feebay. Actually he had no "legal" contract with me but he did know I was comming for the car. We talked and I told him I wanted the car "for me" not to re-sell. I gave him my word that was my intention. The "other buyer" followed me down the turnpike and made a very generous offer when I stoped for fuel. (I could have made a quick $6k profit that day). The dealer and I remain friends till this day. The other guy went back and told him I would not make a deal. Don't lose faith ..they are rare...but they are out there! Cheers, David

I'm not too sure about the grab handle on the driver's side, are you guys that bad at driving over there that the driver needs a grab handle! Don Walker TF4887 Twin Cam YD2 2448

It might be an elderly gent thing Don, for getting in and out. Matthew.

Does "Shipping to Norway" mean it is coming my way?
