MG TD TF 1500 - My Solution
| Its been about 24 years since, but I believe that when I was working on the TD in Wisconsin I rebuilt the emergency break cables myself using Stainless Aircraft cable. My threaded ends are old and used and the clevis is also old, although painted. I just got to hooking them up and I find I made the pants too short by about an inch. I made little extenders and now they fit properly.

| JA-B That is a well thought out cure. I like it. |

| JAB, There is an old saying that goes "measure twice, cut once". Your solution is great. Good info for those who are in a hurry. George |

| I once worked in a machine shop at Eastman Kodak Hawk Eye Works. It was populated mostly by people of German descent. It was a wonderful experience and laid a wonderful foundation for my later engineering education. Funny how later in life you realize how much those experiences add up to who you are, what you know, and what you can do. Sorry if I am a little off track. But the old saying "measure twice, cut once" caught my eye and reminded me of those days. Cheers, Bob |
