MG TD TF 1500 - MG TD in Movies
Found another one! Goes by quick about 5 mins in...a white TD merging onto roadway, amongst Vegas, VW's and other late 70's autos. The Secret of Nikola Tesla 1980 If you have netflixs it's on there. The movie is a bomb, not very well done, and is NOT a documentary on Tesla ...but if your an Orson Welles fan, he is in it. The arguments for/against DC VS AC Elecrtic comes off somewhat like us here on this board with POS VS NEG ground cars! LOL Although nobody here, (to my knowledge anyhow) has ever fried a small dog to prove a point.

"The arguments for/against DC VS AC Elecrtic comes off somewhat like us here on this board with POS VS NEG ground cars! LOL" Except in that argument, one of them had a very definite advantage. Cheers - Dave

Tesla was pure neurotic genious. Never heard of him till I was in my early 20's. Pissed me off that our school system never saw fit to include him and others in our curriculum. It was no contest between AC and DC use except in Edisons world. Scientists are still unable to duplicate verified voltages he attained while experiminting in Colorado Springs among many other things. Amazing individual.

Think the first place I ever heard of Nikola was in a copy of "Mother Earth News"?...certainly never learned about him in school. Saw this fick years ago but didn't notice the TD then. (It's in there again at end of the movie). Often wonder just "where" we would be if ideas of his would have developed as he intended, for the good of mankind, instead of corporate profit/greed.

Dave, How could I get some more information on your ceramic heater? TIA, Mort

I feel the same way about Immanuel Velikovsky. Battered by the scientific community for decades. Yet time and time again his observations are found to be correct yet never recognized. His therories sure make a lot more sense than the crap they presented to me in school.

I saw a TV show the other day where they said that Edison invented the electric chair just to put a fear into the public into showing them how dangerous AC current was. Tesla actually started out working for Edison, but Edison dismissed his AC current process as Impracticle.

We have a Tesla museum here in Colorado Springs. I hope it is still open these days. He had a lab on a spot called Knob Hill and shot some serious bolts of electricity from there. Mike

He was able to power the lights in Cripple Creek..ever so many miles away from his laboratory in Colorado Springs...without any electrical lines. Only in the last couple of years I saw a short piece that some company was experimenting with using a wireless energy transmission for office equipment.

Back to the topic of TD's in the movies. Know it has been listed, but I just was watching With 6 you get eggroll and there is a red TD with a strip of louvers on the hood in the first few minutes of the movie.

So, I should get 4 eggroll...right? (two for each side)
