MG TD TF 1500 - GENERATOR REVIEWS.
Greetings. Some of our popular T-Series suppliers are offering New Generator Reproductions-# 140-300. What's the report/review from the field...? Good, bad or ugly...? Will they go long term..? A quality product..? Inquiring T-Series minds need to know....! Many thanks in advance. DrRx 1950 TD # 0823. Northern Calif. |

Information supplied to me from customers is that the Moss generators for "T" series are built to specs for the Frog-eye Sprites. Which means they are 22 Amp. generators. A big improvement over the 17 Amp originals. While suspect, I have heard no bad comments on them. Personally I am running a MGB generator with an added takeoff for the tach. So I have the 22 Amp. capability. Cheers, Bob

I ran one for about two years when they first came out. It had an incorrect spacer and was binding when new, but I fixed that myself. Seems really well made. Running rebuilt original now so it is my spare. George

I've been running the Moss unit for about 3 years and it has been fine. It even looks origional. I have also been using one of their starters for many years, with good results. I don't know where the starter is made or if the current new ones are the same, but I couldn't be happier with mine.

I've heard nothing but good reports about the Moss replacements.
