| Dropped the engine and transmission, along with the drive shaft, back in the chassis today....I'm beginning to feel as if I'm making progress. Picture attached. Edward

Edward, I am only slightly ahead of you and I know just what you mean about progress. I am hoping to have the first start up before the end of the month but you never know. Rob

Edward it looks like you are marching right along with your refurbishment of Rocky! Looking very good. BobbyG

Edward very smart looking engine, congratulations. The heart rate returns to normal when that motor runs for the first time and there are no puddles evident. After you tune the carbies and the beast rotates like a well oiled clock you can relax. I have just been there and done that after a bad case of repeat engine installs, sure provides a level of satisfaction. Graeme

Thanks all for the good wishes, and good luck with your "T's". I will post more progress photos, when I get to the next plateau. Edward

Congrats Edward, I should be where you are this time next year... Looks great! Regards, Rich

Wow does that bring back memories. Been a number of years since I was down to that part of the rebuild. But hope to get to be there again in a few years as I go through my TD and get it correct this time.

Ed, Nice work! You're a bit ahead of me. I'm trying to get final engine assembly done, though the tranny is ready to go. What paint did you use on the engine? David
David Littlefield
Bud Car looks great....I'm so happy that I didn't have to do any wood-structual work on my car...What a job! David I'm partial to Duplicolor Hi-Temp (500 degree), engine paint...I've used the Ford Red on 4 cars....(2 MGB's, 1 Cobra, and now, the TD). I realize it's not "The correct" color, but I like it, and it always looks good in an engine compartment. Edward

| Here's a more current update...Just added the Tourist-Trophy exhaust (left the plastic on where I could), the starter, the carb drains, and the generator and belt. Edward

Bud, That TD is looking good! Are those new quarter panels? Where did you get your wood? -David
D. Sander
Nice!! If you haven't already, stuff a rag in the air cleaner manifold. Open engine holes attract nuts and bolts, which do very bad things later. 53 looking great too Bud! George

The front quarter panels are original, but I had to have the lower section recreated and welded on. The rear quarters were purchased as a low-rust 'tublet' from Texas. What arrived turned out to be a TF tublet. The source sent me a TD replacement. All of the wood, a complete set, was purchased from Abingdon Spares. Bud
