| Gordon, There are several bulbs available for the tripod lamp. For years, I used the 60/55 halogen lamp in the pre-focused mount on my TD. However, over the years. I was slowly baking the enamel 'PL' off the tripod centre, to the point that I only had a copper dot left. I believe that 50 watts on low beam is about the limit the tripod can take. I think that anything more is going to bake off the enamel. Jeff Zorn at LBCarCo has had some special lamps made to fit the earlier sockets. My friend up the road, got a pair of 60/55s for his TC with L140 lamps. This web-site shows a whole bunch of pre-focused mounts st the bottom ... http://www.lbcarco.com/cgi-bin/gen5?nextform=/halogen.html&o=&a=&t=_top. On my TF now, I am using the Sylvania Silver Star H6024ST lamps, that I just love. I've had them for 4 years. They will definitely fit your TD bowl. Gord Clark Rockburn, Qué. |
