MG TD TF 1500 - eBay Mark II

(If this duplicates, I'm sorry - the first one just vanished...).

eBay 330590036543 is a December, 1951 Mark II TD (although the seller doesn't appear to have known that) owned by his 80-year-old father who has clearly owned it for a long time. The car was removed when the seller accepted $11,100 for the car off eBay.

The car is advertized as all original including paint, with 41,000 miles. I mostly agree, and think it is (was) a nice car. I'll be interested to see if it appears for sale again soon!

The interior is clearly original, and the Andri are in place. The car now has 1-1/4" carbs and a single rubber fuel hose, so the second SU pump may be missing. The paint seems too purple for original and the gas tank ends are painted over the chrome - I think it has been re-painted. The engine is said not to have been apart and the sump is painted, but not the bell housing. Recent work includes engine mount, brake hose, etc.

It seems an honest car, and $11,100 is a good price, I think, for a car with replaced top, etc.
