MG TD TF 1500 - Dynamo alternator conversion
| Does anyone know how to do the lucas dynamo alternator conversion as sold in holden uk ? The keep the original casing of the dynamo and insert an alternator and electronic stuff inside the casing keeping it looking original, butbwith the advantages of an alternator. Thanks Jose |

| Jose, You can buy it in Germany from Limora (www.limora.com) The part number is 492202 for positiv earth. It is from Sprite, but it fits to TD and has a connection for the speedometer. The price until end of Jan. is 560 Euros. I bought one last year. Works perfekt. Klaus |

| The look alike conversions are not that uncommon. Powermaster sells them to old Chevy and Ford restro guys and hotrodders. The price for these range from $400 to $600 for a Chevy or Ford, I would expect to pay at least $600 or more for one set up with a rear tach cable attachment. Racemettle doesn't display a price, but I would dig very deep in the pockets if you want one for a T series. PJ |
