MG TD TF 1500 - Don't know where to place this question
Sorry for posting this here, but I wasn't sure where to post this question. Since I've switched my computers to W-7 64 bit, every time I leave this site I have to re log in again. Any clues? I never changed anything during the process. PJ

Best quess would be that somewhere in your browser settings is a box to remember passwords? Mine did the same thing after an "automatic upgrade" of the browser using Vista. Lots of luck!

Try resaving it to your favotites???? SPW

Paul, The link you now see in your URL for this site seems to contain your login information for successive logins like you are used to. You probably lost that link/info during the conversion. Login here again, then create a new IE shortcut using the CURRENT url line. (In MS IE you can just drag/drop the "MG" icon in that line to the links toolbar if you have that bar visible.) I know this is how it works because I once logged in at a friends computer and saved the link. Somebody at his house then opened the link after I left and entered something bad here! The owners of this site then deleted my account and I had to create a new one. Newer sites would probably store your info in a cookie, not in the url. Hope this works! Ed

Buy a Mac! ;)

I got a Mac you can have! Get it outta here! chuck

Don't own a Mac, but I would think the same problem would exist since the login info is carried in the url on either machine.

Ed is correct. In addition, note that after logging in the URL includes the characters "&access= Larry

Hey, my message got cut off by the system when posting! Let me try again.... There are 15 numbers after ampersand_access_equals. These numbers are your unique user identifier. When you log in, then save the link as a favorite, the unique user identifier is saved as part of the favorite. That means anybody who uses that saved favorite appears as you. If you share the link (URL) with another person via email, etc., be sure not to include the ampersand_access_equals_fifteen_digit_number or that person will appear as you, too. Larry

Well, you can spend thousands of unnecessary dollars on a Mac and still have the same problem, plus you have to learn a whole new operating system and replace all of your expensive software, or you can simply create a new shortcut AFTER logging into the site and continuing using your excellent Win7/64 OS. (Disclaimer: Yes I own both Mac and Win7-PC machines so don't give me the old Mac bashing speech!) In short, the login problem has nothing to do with the operating system, rather it's the ancient way this site handles user sessions. Delete your old shortcut, then log into the site and make a new one. Oh, and if I may inject some personal preference into my post, use Firefox instead of IE!
