MG TD TF 1500 - Do We Pay Vat?

When living in the US and buying from a British firm in the UK, do we have to pay the vat? If we do, what is the percentage, or however it's figured? PJ

PJ, You do not pay the VAT of 20% (% depending on the EU country)as long as the items are shipped outside the zone. Simply inform the vendor at the time of purchase that you expect it to be deducted. They'll be pleased to do so. Your tax of course hits at the US customs. .... Chris

Indeed, they discount it at the time of purchase. Bear in mind that prices are often displayed including VAT, even when shown on US sites like eBay.
