MG TD TF 1500 - Delco/GM Alternator Conversion
Does anyone have a precise wiring diagram for the conversion from a generator to a Delco/GM alternator in a MGTD? I would prefer to keep my voltage regulator and ammeter if possible. If you do reply, please advise the model number of the alternator and/or the GM car that it fits. Barny Gaylord has an excellent article on the conversion to a Lucas alternator but I think that I would prefer the Delco because of its higher output, reliability and lower cost. Thank you, Frank Grimaldi

Hello Frank. Check with Jerry Felper British Auto Eletric (felperg@earthlink.net). He makes up the alternators with the tach drive attachment. Butch Taras

Opps... I don't know what I was thinking. My car is a TD but it has a 1964 3-main engine. The same question applies I have reposted on the MGB forum. Sorry for the error. Frank Grimaldi
