Yep, I'm screwed too! ;) Plus I'm stubborn and take pride in the fact that I've never joined a social networking site. Silly for sure, but I also still use a rotary phone in my kitchen.

Us too, I guess - we don't join for a number of reasons - the main one being we don't want to see/know what the kids are getting up to! Or, I guess we could join, put pics of us drunk and terrorize the kids!! .... Chris

LaVerne.... down at the bottom of the album is a link for non fb users to be able to view.... just post that link.... you might have to change the privacy setting for photos in your account settings....'anyone' instead of friends, or friends of friends.....!

You know...we 'could' start an MGCARS.ORG.UK 'group' on FB and anyone who joins it (you would also have your own page which you could make totally private), could post all the photos they wanted.... easy to make....?
(and Chris is right.... being your kid's 'friend' means seeing their posts....sometimes I shut her's off)..... anyway....just saying?

(and I use a 1905 rotary on my rolltop as well.....and of course my iPhone)

I have friend who refuses to switch to a ball point from his fountain pen and he calls computers evil! With no answering machine as well he sure is hard to get a hold of. One forgets how slow the world was when we all had these restrictions.

Sooo I went to email account ...sent an "invite" and got an email back. Can see them now.
I think I am now facebook friends with LaVerne and what appears to be several thousand Asian ladies of the nite?
Just kidding ...was really pretty easy to do.
Word of caution if your a newbee like me ...beware of that little button that invites everyone in your email account. I have had some ads up on CL and there are some people I definitly don't care to hear from again!
(like the guy that wanted to know if I would "deliver" my $10 trailer hitch to him in Toledo)

Hey LaVerne, I just sent friend request. I can't get the link to work either. Besides recently starting Facebook, the kids humiliated me into texting last year. I still use sticky notes instead of a Blackberry, so hope is not toally lost! George

Face Book or U-Tube on dial-up? or any video for that matter?

Neigh an impossibility. I'd kill for something better. I'm surrounded by 120-foot trees (no line-of-sight to towers or any satellite), and Bell refuses to up-grade the copper. So no DSL.

"High-Speed Dial-Up" is supposed to be coming ($25/mo), but its not asynchronous.
