MG TD TF 1500 - Correct direction grille slats on 1954 TF 1500 ?
| Good Day all, happy 4th. A friend and fellow club member posted here about installing an electric fan on his TF. He has an over heating problem and I think the electric fan once installed did not correct this over heating problem? I have suggested to him to check carbs, timing and 50-50 or less anti freeze with water wetter mixture. I know from reading it here that if the grille slats are installed in the wrong direction that it will cut down on the air flow to the radiator. I could not locate it in the archives, so anyone remember the correct direction? Or any other ideas for this overheating? Thanks in advance for any suggestions! John |

| I believe the grill slat issue is only for TC/TD grills. The TF slats are fixed and can't be moved. George |
