MG TD TF 1500 - confusing
Hi all. I am a bit confused about the info of CW (clockwice) and CCW (counterclockwice). FI on all lists I have fond the distributer D2A4 as on my car saysrotaition CW but the arrow on the head and the rotor says CCW. If you look at the distributer from underneath it is CW but fom the top which is more conveniat when the distributer is instaled it is C. Look out for others. Thoralf. Norway TD4490.

Looking down on your INSTALLED distributor, with the cover off, the rotor will rotate counterclockwise when you crank your engine. If it's rotating in that direction you're fine.

Thorlaf, Lucas always define the direction of rotation of their distributors looking from the engine side outwards. If you look at the bottom of the shaft & plate assembly you will see the letter "C" stamped on it. this means "clockwise" for distributors rotating in the oppsite direction there is the letter "A" (anti-clockwise). So your confusion is justified. John
